newt-gingrich-duhPPP is probably the least accurate of all the polling companies. They absolutely blew the Iowa and New Hampshire polls. For example in the Iowa caucus, they picked Ron Paul #1, Mittens #2 and Rick Santorum #3. Of course the order was Romney, Santorum, and Paul. They also gave 4% of the vote to Jon Huntsman in Iowa, the caucus gave him less than 1% of the vote. Oh and then there was Buddy Roemer. He somehow got 2% of the Iowa PPP poll, and got about 0.05% of the vote. In New Hampshire, Roemer was projected to get 2% of the vote. He got a whopping 0.04%. So their polling on the May 8th North Carolina primary might be nothing more than Daily Kos trying to influence people’s impressions months ahead of the primary. This poll has Gingrich in the lead at 25%. Rick Santorum second at 24%, PPP’s newest poll on the Republican Presidential race in North Carolina essentially finds a three way tie: Newt Gingrich is at 25% with Rick Santorum at 24% and Mitt Romney at 22%. This poll also say no one else is in double figures. Not even Ron Paul. But somehow Jon Huntsman again comes in at 4% in a socially conservative state, while Roemher gets 1%. PPP must have some sort of love affair with Jon Huntsman (like the rest of the media) and Buddy Roemer.

PPP’s newest poll on the Republican Presidential race in North Carolina essentially finds a three way tie: Newt Gingrich is at 25% with Rick Santorum at 24% and Mitt Romney at 22%. No one else is in double digits- Ron Paul at 9%, Rick Perry and Jon Huntsman at 4%, and Buddy Roemer at 1% round out the field.
