When you think of Islamic terrorism in Europe, you usually think of the UK, France or Germany. Aside from the train bombing in Madrid in 2004, Spain isn’t usually a hot spot for terrorism. That is at least until today. There are reports of people dead and hostages taken in Las Rambles, a big tourist spot around Barcelona. The number of confirmed dead has gone back and forth between one and two dead.

There is a currently a hostage situation underway, as the terrorists who plowed into the crowd of people reportedly ditched the rented van and ran into a market and restaurant to take hostages.

This is a horrible, yet predictable situation for all of Europe. This is also why I think the lily white trash nationalist over the weekend should be charged was a terrorist. It’s the same action, done to inflict terror and kill or injure their political opponents. I mean, what’s so different between what happened in Las Rambles today and what James Fields did?
