Disrespectful L.A. Lakers to ‘lock arms’ during anthem all season

There was a time when the Los Angeles Lakers were the model of the NBA. 16 championships multiple division and conference titles and loads of hall of fame players. But over the last few years, the Lakers have become the doormat of the NBA and this year they plan to act like the joke of a team they really arm. Coach Luke Walton announced that the disrespectful Lakers will “lock arm” all season during the national anthem. Why? Walton claims because the team, loaded with scrubs is planning to show how there are “issues” in this country and to raise “awareness” of their issues.

Los Angeles Lakers coach Luke Walton says the team plans to lock arms during the national anthem throughout the season, beginning with its preseason game Saturday night against the Minnesota Timberwolves.
“But by locking arms, I feel like we are showing that there are issues in this country, and it is a chance for us to raise awareness and still make it a talking point. If you do nothing, then it kind of goes away, and if it goes away, then nothing changes.”

A memo, distributed by NBA deputy commissioner Mark Tatum and obtained by ESPN, instructs teams that “the league office will determine how to deal with any possible instance in which a player, coach, or trainer does not stand for the anthem.”
The Timberwolves also locked arms and stood before Saturday’s game. Minnesota coach Tom Thibodeau said he has encouraged his players to voice their opinions and be active in the community.

“Our guys have been real good, doing a lot of real positive things in the community,” Thibodeau said. “They have thoughts about a lot of things that are going on, in a very positive way. I want them to voice their opinions, but I also want them to be active in the community.”

This is a league wear a player on Oklahoma City just signed a 5 year contract worth over $40 million per season. Again, it’s arrogant players, already told by the commisioner they can’t kneel like NFL players to protest the military, anthem and flag. Complete and utter disrespect.
