Coming off his big win in Florida, Mitt Romney was expected to easily win the Nevada Republican caucuses on February 4th, 2012. Romney won the state in 2008 with over 50% of the vote. With all the money and time spent in Florida the previous Tuesday, no candidate really did much campaigning or advertising in Nevada. Candidates like Newt Gingrich and Rick Santorum basically conceded the state to Romney, and focused their efforts on the upcoming caucus states of Colorado and Minnesota. Romney ended up winning barely over 50% of the vote in 2012, with Newt Gingrich coming in second. Mitt Romney won 14 delegates, Newt Gingrich won 6, Ron Paul won 5 and Rick Santorum won 3.
