Trump sure seems to have recovered nicely from his Wisconsin loss. He’s expected to win 90-95 this week in the New York primary and expected to sweep the following week in other Northeastern states. The California primary isn’t until June, and until recently was a close race between Trump and Ted Cruz. However, the latest CBS poll has Trump pulling out to an 18 point lead in California, where 172 delegates are at stake.

An L.A. Times poll one month ago had this race separated by one point. The average of polls was about 7-8%. So either this CBS is an outlier, or something is happening in California for Trump with Cruz sinking. The poll uses a good sample size too of 1,012 likely voters. The largest sample size yet.
