Believe it or not, there are over 1.5 million (at least) illegal aliens om Medi-Cal (the state’s equivalent to Medicaid). Now with everyone except illegal aliens leaving California and the state’s budget being in total shambles, Greasy Gavin Newsom, who is obviously running for president in 2028 wants to stop illegal aliens from getting Medi-Cal (who shouldn’t have been getting it in the first place). With over 1.5 million illegal aliens currently enrolled, it costs the state approximately $8.4 billion for the 2024–2025 fiscal year, significantly higher than the initial $6 billion projection.
Greasy Gavin Newsom proposed scaling back Medi-Cal benefits for illegal aliens to address a $16 billion state budget shortfall. Greasy’s plan includes: freezing new enrollments for illegal alien adults starting in 2026 and introducing a $100 monthly premium for enrolled adults with “unsatisfactory immigration status” starting in 2027.
This of course isn’t sitting well with California communists and even some worthless state RINOs who want to keep funding Medi-Cal for illegal aliens, regardless of the cost.. This is why California is beyond repair at this point.
