Eric Swalwell confessed to a drug-fueled sex romp with a suspected Chinese spy in newly released files that reveal the disgraced former congressman’s relationship with the woman went way deeper than previously known.
The former East Bay congressman’s close relationship with Christine Fang, also known as “Fang Fang,” included “physical relations” on multiple occasions and a scheme to drum up campaign donations, according to investigative files made public by the White House Transparency Task Force.
In one instance, the suspected spy showed up at Swalwell’s apartment and the two “hooked up” after he had taken an Ambien — as he later claimed he barely remembered the event. Swalwell was interviewed at the FBI’s Oakland outpost in 2015 as Fang became the subject of a counterintelligence investigation over her relationships with Bay Area political figures.
