So wait…. They messed up the lethal injections into Christa Pike who was supposed to be killed for a murder she committed in 1995… But the injection failed, after she demanded an all female team for the execution (that failed), and now she’s being kept alive on a ventilator?
🚨 CHRISTA PIKE UPDATE — OCTOBER 4, 2026
Four days after Tennessee’s failed attempt to execute Christa Pike, her attorney says she still has not regained consciousness.
Pike remains on a ventilator at a Nashville-area hospital following Wednesday night’s botched lethal injection.
Doctors are reportedly still dealing with the effects of the massive amount of pentobarbital she received during the execution attempt. Her prognosis remains uncertain, and attorneys say it could be days before they know the extent of her recovery — or whether she has suffered permanent injury.
Her attorneys have also described disturbing injuries to her arms, which were reportedly badly swollen, burned and blistered afterward.
When attorney Stephen Ferrell was asked whether Pike had awakened at any point since the execution attempt, he responded:
“Not that I am aware of.”
Tennessee has halted executions for the remainder of 2026 while the incident is investigated.
Four days later, Christa Pike is still alive — but apparently has never regained consciousness.
This entire situation gets more unbelievable by the day.
