This is a bit of a head scratcher. Mitt Romney leading the GOP field by 10 points in Alabama? The only poll I’ve seen for this state’s primary next week is the AEA poll. The poll finds Mitt Romney with 31.2% of the vote. Rick Santorum and Newt Gingrich nearly are tied with Rick Santorum at 21.6% and Newt Gingrich with 21.2%. Ron Paul gets just 6%.
We’ll see if this is an outlier, or if this poll is accurate. I can’t picture Romney winning the Alabama GOP primary.
