We all know Joe Biden is one cheap ass MFer. He’s proven that over the years with his piddly contributions to charity. Now, he’s proving himself to be all about Joe again by refusing to give back any of his tax payer funded $230,700 salary to help with Obama’s sequster. Remember, this is the same Joe Biden who lectured Americans about their ‘patriotic duty’ to pay taxes. That’s basically a donation to the government.
Vice President Joe Biden won’t be following the president’s lead and returning some of his pay to the Treasury, but may if his staff faces furloughs.
“The vice president is committed to sharing the burden of the sequester with his staff,” his office said in a statement Friday.
As has been noted elsewhere, Biden has a significantly smaller net worth than many of those who have offered to return money to the Treasury or give it to charity in a sign of support for those facing furloughs because of sequestration.
Biden and his wife Jill reported a combined income of $379,035 in 2011, including his salary of $230,700.
