Today, there will be no fireworks shows at Camp Lejeune, Fort Bragg, Shaw Air Force Base, Pearl Harbor-Hickam, or McGuire-Dix-Lakehurst. The media is spinning that the lack of fireworks shows is because of Obama’s sequester (which of course is being blamed on Republicans.) In Pittsburgh, a company offered Camp Lejeune fireworks show free, but still the Obama regime said no. So try and understand this. There is $100 million for Obama’s Africa vacation, $7 billion for electricity in Africa, $600,000 to waste on Facebook likes for the State Department, but no money for a fireworks show at Camp Lejeune. Yea, ok.
Military veterans are upset after the annual Camp Lejeune fireworks show for military members and their families was cut.
What makes it even worse: A Pittsburgh area company offered to do the show for free, but the government said, thanks, but no thanks.
The military says the show meant for more than 47-thousand Marines and Sailors was cancelled due to federal cutbacks.
