Obama decided to give Michelle Obama a tax payer funded gift of extra time in Hawaii to celebrate her 50th birthday with her BFFs. It costs over a $100,000 to operate Air Force One. With the flight time from Hawaii to DC being about 12-13 hours, there’s at least $1.2 to $1.3 million tax dollars in extra costs it will be to haul Mooch separately back from Hawaii to DC.
In addition to the costs to operate Air Force One, there will be tax payer funded costs for the Secret Service, and all those lobster tails Michelle Obama will down in Hawaii. That is estimated to be at least $200,000 extra tax payer dollars.
First Lady Michelle Obama failed to accompany President Obama and their daughters home from Hawaii today, a decision that will likely incur taxpayers at least a couple of hundred thousand dollars in costs.
