It was a nasty GOP primary campaign between Donald Trump and Ted Cruz. The nastiness of that campaigned turned off a lot of Republican who were considering voting for Trump. But now it seems Trump and Ted Cruz are making nice-nice as Trump met with Cruz in DC. Now the speculation can grow. Is Ted Cruz on Trump’s short list for VP pics? He’d certainly be better than those so often mentioned like Newt Gingrich or Chris Christie. I could live with a Trump-Cruz ticket. It would really tick off the elites in DC. Ted Cruz is also a great fund raiser.

Donald Trump met with Sen. Ted Cruz on Capitol Hill on Thursday morning — the first meeting between the two former bitter campaign rivals since Cruz suspended his presidential campaign.
Republican National Committee Chairman Reince Priebus was also at the meeting, according to sources. This was Trump’s second trip to Capitol Hill in two months.
With less than two weeks before the Republican National Convention commences in Cleveland, Trump is looking to shore up support with the GOP’s rank and file even as he faces backlash from members of his party. Some Republicans facing tough re-election battles have chosen to skip the convention, and others declined to meet with Trump this morning.
Not only would the elite hate a ticket of Trump and Cruz but os would the corrupt Democratic media complex. Watching their heads explode would be fun.
