CNN Kaczynski used highly intrusive Mailtrack.io on meme maker

The application CNN’s KFILE Andrew Kaczynski used on the meme maker is Mailtrack.io. Media Equalizer finally got a response from Kaczynski claiming that Mailtrack.io isn’t a phishing app and is totally legit. He also complained about threats against him and his family, which is not cool. Mailtrack.io users have wrote reviews such as this one:

Bottom line
I love how this extension’s checkmark indicators make it convenient to tell, at a glance, an email’s tracking status without having to open the email or visiting your user page on the MailTrack site. The pop-up notification cards are also nice.
The real downside: It’s a little weird and intrusive that you cannot switch tracking off under a free account. Not only does this raise potential personal privacy concerns, it could also be a problem if you need to send email to someone who uses email through a network or service that blocks tracked emails or flags them as spam.

Does that prove CNN’s Andrew Kaczynski guilt or innocence? Not hardly. Jeff Reynolds, the original author of the article calling Kacynski the serial doxxer contacted Kaczynski by e-mail twice. After the e-mail exchange, Reynolds anti-virus software reported a malicious attack of high severity.

Personal note: within five minutes of sending the email to Kaczynski asking for comment, my anti-virus software reported a malicious attack of high severity on my computer that it blocked. I haven’t had that happen in months. I have no idea where this attack originated, but it sure was strange timing.

Does this prove anything? Again no, it could be a coincidence. I’ll let you judge for yourself. Kaczynski is still innocent, until (if) he’s proven guilty of doxxing. This all seems too strange to be real. Certainly, you would think if Andrew Kaczynski were in fact guilty of using Mailtrack for phishing, he would disable it in his e-mail exchanges with Reynolds right?
