Officer who confronted Austin Rollins inside Maryland high school to throw 1st pitch at Nationals game

Deputy Blaine Gaskill rarely get the media attention he deserved. He, unlike the cowards in Broward did his job when Austin Rollins entered a Maryland high school and started what could have been a repeat of Parkland. Unfortunate, one 16 year old girl named Jaelynn Willey was a victim of Rollins and died at the hospital after shot. But thanks to Blaine Gaskill actually doing his job, Willey turned out to be the only victim. There were 17 dead as their were in Parkland because Blaine Gaskill wasn’t a coward and the sheriff of that country in Maryland wasn’t a corrupt hack like Scott Israel. Gaskill will get the honor of throwing at the first pitch today in the Washington National’s home opener. He definitely deserves it.

The resource officer who confronted a gunman inside a Maryland high school last month will throw the ceremonial first pitch at the Washington Nationals’ Opening Day game today.

When shots were fired at Great Mills High School on March 20, the school’s sole resource officer, Deputy Blaine Gaskill, responded immediately, authorities said.

The suspected shooter, 17-year-old Austin Rollins, approached 16-year-old Jaelynn Willey in a hallway and shot her once in the head, the St. Mary’s County Sheriff’s Office said. That same round struck 14-year-old Desmond Barnes in the leg.

Rollins continued walking and was confronted by Gaskill. Rollins fired one fatal shot to his own head, and at the same time, Gaskill fired one non-fatal shot, hitting the gun in Rollins’ hand, the sheriff’s office said.
