Nikki Haley was one of the surprises in the Trump cabinet. When she was first picked to be UN Ambassador I was irritated. I thought she was a horrible governor of South Carolina and that Trump made a huge mistake picking her. Turned out, I was dead wrong. Nikki Haley was one of the best UN Ambassadors this country has ever had, so her sudden resignation today was quite the shocker.
Unlike other backstabbers previously in the Trump administration like Omarosa, Nikki Haley isn’t going out because of disagreements with Trump. Instead, she’s served 14 years in government and needs a break to be with her family. She will stay on until January 2019 until a successor is named.
