The Mike Espy campaign signed up the media for one last attempt to try and steal the Mississippi Senate seat. They claimed “racism” as they usually do when an African-American Democrat runs and the national media got involved. But it wasn’t enough for corrupt Mike Espy or the media. The people of Mississippi saw through the Espy/Media BS and re-elected Hyde-Smith to serve out the rest of Thad Cochran’s term.
I of course would have prefered Chris McDaniel in the race against Espy, as Cochran basically stole the the seat from McDaniel in 2014 with the help of Boss Hogg Haley Barbour and other establishment RINOs. But having Cindy Hyde-Smith over a socialist-communist and a corrupt bastard like Mike Espy is still a win. She’s a reliable Trump vote in the Senate.

Democrats will of course get some participation trophies tonight. They can brag that the margin wasn’t as big as it should have been in a red state like Mississippi. Of course, when you have 24/7 cries of racism against a candidate, that’s not going to help their vote totals. Espy the crook overperformed in a couple of counties. I guess Espy and the Democrats get a participation trophy for that. Lasty, Cindy Hyde-Smith isn’t that great of a candidate. She didn’t handle the corrupt media’s racism smear at all. Chris McDaniel would have won by 20%+ tonight. But a win is a win. Democrats thought they could pull a Doug Jones in Mississippi tonight with their racism smears. They poured millions of dollars into the state in an effort to try and flip the seat and they failed. That’s all that matters.
