Govs. Ron DeSantis, Chris Sununu and Greg Abbott pull their state’s national guard out of DC after garage disgrace

As if it wasn’t bad enough that 26,000 national guard troops were being used as props for the Biden inauguration, they are still in DC and at least for one night were forced to sleep on a senate parking garage floor, packed together like sardines (WTF happened to social distancing?). No one has been named responsible for this disgusting act of hate, but at least three state Governor are pulling their national guard troops out of DC. Florida’s Ron DeSantis, New Hampshire’s Chris Sununu and Texas’ Greg Abbott have recalled their states national guard troops after photos of the troops sleeping on the floor or the garage came out. I think it’s absolutely pathetic that as of now, only three governors are recalling their national guard troops after treatment like this. The inauguration and ceremonies are over, there is no need for them to be in DC anymore. Bring them all home. I’m sure Biden’s Secret Service will protect him well.

And fuck anyone and everyone responsible for putting the national guard in the garage, Republican or Democrat.

Govs. Ron DeSantis, Chris Sununu and Greg Abbott pull their state's national guard out of DC after garage disgrace

Govs. Ron DeSantis, Chris Sununu and Greg Abbott announced that they are bringing their National Guard troops back from Washington, D.C., after reports they were posted up in a parking garage near the Capitol to rest during their shifts, a move that caused outrage at the treatment of the servicemembers.

The U.S. Capitol Police (USCP) ordered the troops to move their rest area during their 12-hour shifts from inside the Capitol to the Thurgood Marshall Judicial Center parking garage, the National Guard said Friday.
Sununu, the GOP governor from New Hampshire, also announced he is recalling his state’s National Guard, saying the soldiers “should be graciously praised, not subject to substandard conditions.” But the outrage at the soldiers being sent to rest in a garage was hardly partisan.
