Oh ok… Facebook claims their “extremist” warning against conservatives yesterday was just a test or something. It’s all cool see, because Zuckerberg says Facebook is partnering with NGOs and academic experts. As if there isn’t any anti-conservative bias here or something. Only conservatives received this Facebook “warning” yesterday. Not leftists.
At the time Redstate posted the original report Facebook had not yet responded to a request for comment. Since that time a Facebook spokesperson reached out to Redstate with a statement explaining their Thursday “test.”
This test is part of our larger work to assess ways to provide resources and support to people on Facebook who may have engaged with or were exposed to extremist content, or may know someone who is at risk. We are partnering with NGOs and academic experts in this space and hope to have more to share in the future.
Facebook has given no indication as to why they only have one side of the ideological spectrum on the “hate” flags.
