Conservatives were stunned today when Sen. Cruz called the U.S. Capitol riot a “violent terrorist attack.” Think what you want about what happened last year, but Ted Cruz is calling it a violent terrorist attack. Agree or disagree with Cruz? I know one thing though, Ted Cruz is now a hero of the left wing media for stating this, regardless if it’s true or not. Ted Cruz may have curried favor with the media, but he’s really pissed off his most vocal supporters. His chances of winning a GOP nomination in 2024 or beyond for president are pretty much gone after saying this.

Of course, what happened on January 6th last year shouldn’t have happened. But I think it was more of a riot than anything. No wonder Beto almost beat him in 2018.
