I feel like we’ve heard this story before. Oh that’s right. Back in August, in Afghanistan, the State Department made similar claims about not being able to rescue Americans trapped in Afghanistan. Into 2022, this is still the case as there are hundreds, lf not thousands of Americans still trapped in the Taliban controlled Afghanistan. Now, we are getting this in Ukraine too. The State Department in a phone call says that it will not be in a position to evacuate US citizens from Ukraine, just like Afghanistan. What could possibly go wrong?
From State Dept call: “Given that the President has said military action by Russia could come at any time. The US government will not be in a position to evacuate US citizens. So US citizens, currently present in Ukraine should plan accordingly.” Arrange commercial flights.

This is an obvious disaster waiting to happen. I don’t think Putin invades Ukraine until after the Olympics in China.
