Personally, I think the new Redskins name should have been the Karens. It would be diverse and fitting for a city like Washington D.C. which is crawling with political criminals on both sides of the aisle. Instead, Washington will now be known as the Commanders or something, about equally as exciting as the Cleveland Indians becoming the “Guardians” due to wokeness..
After a renaming process that took 18 months and two full NFL seasons, the team formerly known as the Washington Football Team introduced its new nickname on Wednesday: the Commanders.
In an interview on “The Today Show,” team president Jason Wright introduced the new name and the logo, which was also shared on social media.
