A nasty heat wave is gripping California and the west coast of the United States. So what is California and their voluntary “flex alert” recommending? Much like Europe,, they are telling people to keep their A/C at 78F degrees and to avoid using dishwashers or other large appliances. Oh, there’s one more thing that the flex alert is asking Californ8ans to do. Hold off on charging your EV between the hours of 4-9 p.m. Out somewhere and out of juice in your EV? Looks like you are shit out of luck until after 9pm.
Want to see the future of California, especially by 2035? Here it is. You can’t charge your EV on state’s overwhelmed power grid. In thirteen years, it wouldn’t be voluntary either. As more “smart cars” are produced, the more control the government will have over you and your vehicle.
