RINO trash from Nebraska is going to “retire” from the Senate to lead the University of Florida. sASSe who pretended to be a conservative to get elected in 2014 is now getting his payoff for being so anti-Trump while Trump was in office. sASSe is one of ten RINOs who voted to impeach Trump. But sASSe has been a filthy, dirtbag RINO long before Trump ever got into office. Good riddance to the sASSe trash.
Nebraska Sen. Ben Sasse is expected to resign from the U.S. Senate to pursue a job in higher education.
The University of Florida announced Thursday that Sasse is the sole finalist to become the school’s 13th president.
“The University of Florida is the most interesting university in America right now,” Sasse said in a statement. “It’s the most important institution in the nation’s most economically dynamic state — and its board, faculty and graduates are uniquely positioned to lead this country through an era of disruption. The caliber of teaching and research at UF is unmistakable, carried out through the core principles of shared governance and academic freedom. I’m thrilled about the opportunity to work alongside one of the nation’s most outstanding faculties.”
Under Nebraska law, Gov. Pete Ricketts would appoint Sasse’s successor should he resign. The appointee would serve until the next statewide election in 2024.
