When you are a Democrat, like Bernie Madoff (who donated heavily to huck Schumer and Hillary Clinton) and Sam Bankman-Fried (who basically bought the 2022 election for Democrats, you never have to worry about your 8th Amendment rights being violated. The 8th amendment to the constitution prohibits excess fines, or excess bail amounts.
Now let’s compare Trump’s bond requirement verses actually real criminals… Trump’s original bail amount was nearly half a billion dollar at $454 million+
Bernie Madoff, Chuck Schumer’s BFF only had to pay $10 million for his bond after conducting the biggest Ponzi scheme (outside of government) this country has ever seen. Mocadoff defrauded at least 40,000 people out of their money, many of whom were elderly and needed that money for retirement.

Then of course there’s Sam Bankman-Fried, who basically bought the 2022 election for Democrats.. His bond was set at $250 billion after defrauding thousands of crypto investors out of their money.
